Bao Receives Oscar Nomination

Great news! Bao was nominated for an Oscar in the Best Animated Short Film category. The winner will be announced at the 91st Academy Awards ceremony on February 24, 2019. Toby composed the film’s original music. The soundtrack is available to download on iTunes, Spotify, and Amazon.

The animated short was released in theaters nationwide in front of Pixar’s feature “Incredibles 2,” the highest grossing domestic animated movie of all time.

 

Adagio For TRON

Toby orchestrated and arranged the flashback scene in TRON: Legacy. Entitled “Adagio for TRON,” it is the tenth track in Daft Punk’s soundtrack to the visually dazzling 3D high-tech adventure.

Bao at Tribeca

Premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival, Bao depicts an empty-nesting Chinese mom who gets another chance at motherhood when one of her dumplings springs to life. Toby composed the music for the animated short.

Legends of Oz

The highly anticipated sequel to the Wizard of Oz has been in the works for over three years. Adapted from Roger Stanton Baum’s novel Dorothy of Oz, the film features the voices of some of Hollywood’s most prominent actors, including Lea Michele, Dan Aykroyd, Kelsey Grammer, and James Belushi. Toby scored the music for the film.

The Brave

The Brave depicts the missions of an elite covert operations team, and stars Anne Heche and Mike Vogel. Toby scored the music for the drama series.

Burn Notice

Toby scored the milestone 100th episode for USA Network’s Burn Notice, now in its seventh and final season. Still the highest rated cable show on television, tune in on Thursdays at 9/8c.
